2008 Opener

Ron Burnett had a nice game last year against Lev, so this game is not so unexpected. Everyone but Lev was thinking that a bit of revenge was in order.

The inexhaustible mystery of chess: after 20. Qc5 Rfc8! 21. Qa3 Qb4! 22. Qxb4 Rxb4 23. Rab1 Bf5 24. a3 Rb7 white is up two pawns and it's difficult to win!

For example, 25. Rec1 Rd7 26. Rd1 Rb7!.

Or, 26. Kf1 h5! just waiting and keeping the nice f5 outpost for the bishop.

A very strange position.
